Fox 5 Featured ECC Health Equity Project on Front Page

On April 28, Fox New York, the network's east coast flagship station, featured ECC's "Health Care Access Equity for Minorities" project during its evening newscast.

In Fox 5 New York's front-page story Amid Pandemic and Bias Attacks, Asian Americans Stepped Up to Help, 3-time Emmy Award-winning newscaster Arthur Chi'en details ECC's efforts to assist over 90,000 minorities with language barriers in seeking equitable access to medical attention during this pandemic. The news story appeared on the front page of Fox New York on April 28, as the first news item following President Biden's address to Congress.

This project has mobilized over 3,000 ECC volunteers to translate previously English-only public health information into 7 other languages. Health Care Access Equity for Minorities has been selected by the Clinton Foundation as one of its 38 global awardees of the COVID-19 Student Action Fund, among 14,000 candidates.
